Over time, the founder has explored the historical coinage of various countries, joined several global numismatic societies, and now serves as the treasurer of the Perth Numismatic Society. With a strong interest in detecting counterfeit coins and exposing unreliable sellers, Ausnumismatics also provides specialised coin cleaning and valuation services, including work on 18th-century Spanish 8 Reales recovered from a shipwreck off the Ningaloo coast of Western Australia. This passion is pursued alongside the founder’s work as a disabled support provider and background as a retired accountant.
